ilulissat and the ice fjord in the disko bay
this is a unesco world heritage site
and it's probably one of the most beautiful places on earth
but also to many tourists here
and yes we did dance a little
we are also checking the ice charts and waiting for the passage in canada to clear from ice before we will cross

we stayed in aasiaat for one week helping our french flamenco friend with his engine problems
here he's playing digerido on som engine parts

we were invited to an inuit who served whale meat for breakfast
here they can haunt whale but they are not allowed to sell it on the international market
they just hunt for their own needs which might be a little better than the whale industry
still it's a little strange for me to see

the tide is changing the water level with more than 4 meters so there can be some big surprises when you wake up in the morning

it has not really been a clear sky for a few days
but grey can also be a beautiful colour and sometimes you can almost see the sun coming through

i get a little sad feeling in the citys on greenland
they are quite dirty, ugly and bad build
and a lot of garbage and building material everywhere
but the houses have some nice individual colours
and the inuits are friendly but not really easy to get in contact with
unless they are very drunk

icebergs

strong feeling to sail with icebergs
there are icebergs in every shape and every size
sometimes a gigantic iceberg coming close to you in the fog
